Becoming a Working TV Actor Workshop with Claudia!

This event has been cancelled.

Claudia Christian: On Becoming a Working TV Actor

Under Claudia’s direction, participants will perform a couple of short scenes from a contemporary drama and a contemporary comedy in front of the camera. Claudia will then playback and use that footage to point out the importance of being there for the other actors even when you’re not on camera, being fully engaged at all times, knowing where your light is, and tips on hair/wardrobe for taped auditions.

Claudia Christian’s TV and film acting credits span the full range of comedy, drama, action, and animation voiceover. She is known to many for her long-running role in “Babylon 5″ but she has also appeared on “Castle”, “Grimm”, “Nip/Tuck”, “NYPD Blue”, and Disney’s animated feature “Atlantis: The Lost Empire”. She is also a very successful video game voiceover talent, and can be heard in “Skyrim”, “Guild Wars 2″, “Halo”, and “Darksiders II”.

For more information and/or registration, please visit http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/1307476.  And be sure to check out some other fantastic workshops being offered by Road’s End Films, including “The Business Side of Acting” with Patricia Tallman (April 18, 2015), “Advice for Actors from a Casting Director) with Mary Jo Slater (April 25, 2015), “How to Survive in TV and Film” with Mira Furlan (May 2, 2015), “Voiceover Seminar” with Robin Atkin Downs (May 9, 2015).  These activities are supported by the Oregon Media Production Association and the Alliance of Professional Performers NW.

Anne Manx and the Blood Chase Nominated for an Audie Award!

Congratulations to the Radio Repertory Company of America (RRCA.com), Panetta Studios, and all those involved in the latest Anne Manx audio drama adventure!  They have been nominated for the prestigious Audie Award for Best Audio Drama!

In this latest adventure starring the indomitable voice talents of Claudia Christian, Patricia Tallman, and Moira Kelly, we find:

Anne Manx and the Blood ChaseAnne Manx is dying!  In the spellbinding sixth installment, Anne (Claudia Christian, Babylon 5), the galaxy’s finest P.I., trails a cryptic clue to Balduria seeking to save her life. Hot on her tail, the flame-haired fiend, Jean Richmond (Patricia Tallman, Babylon 5, Night of the Living Dead 1990) is going to steal the secret to multiple lives for herself.

Jam-packed with fast-paced dialog and two-fisted double entendres, Anne Manx and the darkly duplicitous Brighid (Moira Kelly, One Tree Hill, West Wing, The Lion King) spiral into danger as they try to outwit Chief Arum (Jerry Robbins, Powder River, Beacon Hill) and the entire planet who are literally out for their blood.

Laughs at the edge of your seat, with a hard-boiled and scandalous plot wrapped in a cinematic sound design and music score that brings out the best in the powerhouse performances of this stellar cast. Anne Manx and the Blood Chase will make you believe in scream therapy! – Jack Ward

Anne Manx and the Blood Chase is produced by Radio Repertory Company of America (RRCA.com), was written by Larry Weiner, and includes an original orchestral score by Angelo Panetta.
