Next month I’m travelling to beautiful Oregon to begin shooting a new project from Road’s End Films called “Runestone“. I get to play a tough viking lady named Fritha and I’m really looking forward to it. PLEASE go “like” their page so you can receive news and behind-the-scenes updates from the set!
Here is a brief description of the show…
“It is the end of the 9th Century. Determined to find his missing son who has not been seen since leaving on a voyage of discovery years earlier, and intrigued by rumors of new lands rich with resources, a Viking lord gathers his countrymen and sails three massive longboats into unknown waters.
A sudden and unexpectedly powerful storm at sea blows the ships adrift. Two of the boats take on heavy damage and disappear from sight, but the lead boat survives and makes landfall in a lush new world. The Vikings are so taken with their good fortune that they do not see the people hidden in the brush and trees, watching them from high above the shore. Vikings or not, how will they deal with an indigenous population that is more than a match for them in strength and cunning, and who far outnumber them?
Thus begins a journey of adventure, mystery, conflict, and drama.”
Coming to Lifetime TV Saturday night. Check your local listings for the appropriate time and channel in your area.
Sypopsis courtesy of myLifetime.com: In this fresh take on Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Wrong Man,” Ellen Plainview (Danica McKellar, TV’s The Wonder Years), a sweet, caring, working wife and mother, answers the door one afternoon to learn that she is under arrest for attempted murder. She enters a legal nightmare as the evidence against her accumulates until it is overwhelming. Her friends and even her policeman husband begin to doubt her innocence, to the point where even she wonders if she somehow committed the violent horrible crime without remembering it, especially when it turns out that the victim was a young woman who was having an affair with her husband.
The film also stars Fred Dryer (TV’s Hunter), Jaleel White (TV’s Family Matters), Dina Meyer (TV’s Birds of Prey and Starship Troopers), Jennifer Blanc (TV’s Dark Angel), and our very own Claudia!
Claudia recently recorded a segment for Larry King Now! with Dr. Jaffee, Dr. Sophy, and actress Meredith Baxter. The episode should be airing soon so keep your eyes on the Larry King Now! website for where and when you can view the segment.
“We spoke about addiction, mainly alcoholism, and the need for more and better options for addicts and their families. Even though Miss Baxter is a strong proponent of 12 Step and I am all about The Sinclair Method; we all agreed that we can a) work together and b) every addict is different and therefore needs personalized treatment. My years on TSM have been extraordinary and I have met some amazing people, not only did this treatment save my life, it defined my life. I am now 100% committed to saving lives through education and direct help, I council people and provide support, I guide them and I befriend them. I have never felt more excited about getting up in the morning than I do at this stage in my life, helping people has been the most gratifying thing I have and ever will do. In each addict I see the me I used to be and my singular joy and wish is to lessen that person’s pain and to help them not lose the time I lost searching for an answer to my addiction. Making the documentary One Little Pill is the next step in saving lives and providing options and I hope you join me in the fight. http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/one-little-pill/x/5251511.”
With principal photography currently underway, “One Little Pill” is on schedule to becoming reality in the first half of 2014. However, we need a little assistance with post-production costs (includes editing, color correction, etc.) that are required to complete the project.
We have started a One Little Pill Indiegogo Campaign to help. We hope you will consider donating to this important and close-to-heart undertaking. Claudia is offering all sorts of signed goodies, including music CDs, posters, books, DVDs, digital downloads, and photographs in an effort to raise the funds needed to complete the film. There are many donation levels available and we would greatly appreciate your support.
Claudia has been cast in a leading role in a new feature film with Danica McKellar (Winnie from “The Wonder Years). “The Wrong Woman” will be executive produced by Elaine J. Constantine, Richard Lott, and Jen Willis, produced by John Constantine and Michael Amato, and directed by Richard Gabai.
Claudia will play “Officer Ritts,” a “rather stern looking policewoman [who] is a seasoned, unflappable cop who processes Ellen (Danica McKellar) into the system at the police station booking area. Officer Ritts later stuns Ellen by telling her that her bail is set at $500,000.”
